Just 6 months ago I run Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, and here I am, in another hot and humid country, picking up my number for Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon.

If you happen to visit Australia, and Melbourne, a week before Easter, don't hesitate to sign up for Run for the Kids. A beautiful Autumn run organised since 2006 to support local children's hospital.

The best way I can imagine to kick off family holidays is to run a marathon, of course. That's why in just 5 weeks I will be in Malaysia running Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon.

You would think every marathon has its expo, the obvious place where you pick up your bib, and sponsors can display their brands, sell products etc. Yet in Seoul there was no expo until last year. And now, in 2017, it was back again, only one day before the race, but hey, there it was.

When you try to register for Seoul Marathon as an overseas runner, you will get frustrated and feel like... well, they don’t really want you there. At least this is how I felt.

It is always hot and steamy in Singapore, even at night, and I should have known better, I’ve been there many times before. On the marathon morning I started sweating as soon as I left my air-conditioned hotel lobby at 3.30 am to walk to the start line.
